Wesley Jacobs

Biography

Wesley is the Founder of Apollo Medical Travel. An Army brat, he spent his childhood living across the United States and Europe. He calls Charlotte, North Carolina home. 

Wesley is a Distinguished Graduate with Institute Honors and a Distinguished Military Graduate of the Virginia Military Institute, where he graduated with a 4.00 GPA in Economics & Business. His studies and military education took him to the Arabic Language Institutes of Fez and Meknes in Morocco, the Australian National University, and the Chulachomklao Royal Military Academy in Thailand.

Upon graduation from VMI, Wesley served as an infantry officer in the 5th Battalion, 20th Infantry Regiment based out of Joint Base Lewis McChord, Washington. During his time in the Army, he had the privilege of training alongside America’s Pacific partners, including the Indian, South Korean, Thai, and Filipino militaries in roles ranging from Rifle Platoon Leader to Battle Captain. 

Following his military service, Wesley moved from Washington to Cartagena, Colombia to study at the Nueva Language Spanish School. After six months of intensive language training, Wesley achieved fluency in Spanish and turned his attention to Apollo Medical Travel. 

Wesley believes that everyone deserves access to high quality, affordable medical care. Through Apollo, he helps people from around the world get the care they deserve in Latin America.
